Frequently Asked Questions
As a subscriber, can I transcribe more than 21,600 minutes per month?
Yes. Additional core transcription costs $0.000926 per audio minute and appears on the monthly invoice.
Are the add-ons included?
The optional add-ons are offered in addition to the core transcription service, so they're billed separately.
Will my minutes roll over?
No. The included subscription allowance resets each month, and unused minutes do not roll over. Pay as You Go may fit better when your monthly workload is smaller or less predictable.
My content is multilingual. Can I still transcribe it?
Yes! If you don't specify a language, Speech is Cheap will attempt to figure out the language for every audio segment in the file. It will then show you the most likely candidate along with an accuracy score for that language. For example, {"language": "en (99.95%)"}.
What are the supported languages?
Speech is Cheap is designed to understand and transcribe 100 languages out of the box. While English is the most common language, our clients have successfully transcribed spoken audio content in Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, and more. Please see the docs for the official list of all supported languages.
